Almost 70 calves competed in the Irish Aberdeen Angus Association National Calf Show in Tullamore on the 13th October 2012. The show was judged by Iain McGillivray, herd manager of the Eastfield herd, Lempitlaw, Kelso.
It was the culmination of a very successful showing season for us. Goulding Ester J517, unbeaten this year, scooped the Female Championship while Goulding Missie M535, our March calf, was Reserve Female Champion.
Goulding Hyjake (5/10/2011) impressed the judge on his first day out and was first in a very strong bull class.
David won the senior stockperson and Jack was third.
